Happy birthday

Happy birthday to my big 6 year-old today!  Had a fantastic day with a dinosaur party after school.  He said to me tonight 'I love being 6!'.  So, so pleased he's loved his special day.

Pics from our road trip holiday featuring the big carrot in Ohakune, New Zealand. I used washi tape (for the first time), quilled some carrots (as you do) and the title phrase is from Cricut cartridge 'Going Places'.

Dinosaur party invites

My almost 6-year old is having a Dinosaur party.  He's going to be 6 so its not cool to go cutesy, so I thought the party invites should be grungey too.

Here's what I came up with using Cricut Cartridge 'Dinosaur Tracks'.  I made them all a bit different using two fossil shapes and the flip function.  I also used the negative parts of the fossil ie. skulls and bones and glued them to the back of the invites for a bit of added interest.  They were very quick to make!

Welcome baby boy!

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge this month is using the following sketch;



Here is my take about my daughters love for her soft toy 'Sugar babe'.  In these pics, Sugar babe was in great need of a wash but Isla was not at all happy about her favourite toy being hung on the line to dry, so she spent the morning cuddling her wet toy on the clothes rack (before I ended up putting it in the dryer to speed the process up).
