Fantabulous Cricut Challenge is having a 'Sparkle & Bling' theme this week and I immediately thought of this layout. My Purple Princess Party layout is all about the Sparkle & Bling!
I used Cricut cartridge 'Ornamental Iron' to cut the door and windows and then I added bling. The crown invitation was made using 'Indie Art'. The photos were arranged to look like a castle and the windows were used for journaling.

Ribbons & Buttons
Here is my challenge for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge this week - Ribbons & Buttons.
Here I've used two kinds of ribbon and two heart shaped buttons. I threaded the ribbon through the button holes and tied the ribbons on top of the buttons.
The title is from Cricut cartridge 'Once upon a Princess'.

Dinosaur party
My son wanted a dinosaur party for his 6th birthday - Sixosaurus!
Here's the layout I did for it including the invitation (Dinosaur skeleton) which can be pulled out from its pocket (along with some more journaling).
I used Cricut cartridge Dinosaur Tracks for the skeleton and rocks.
Check out some other Cricut creations from Fantabulous Cricut Challenge

Grid stencils
I am loving my Grid Stencil that I bought at SENZ this year. I find it great for doing layouts where I have no plan what to do with my photos and when I want to use lots of photos. Of course I'm a big fan of block type layouts anyway, so its all good!

I made this card using balloons from Cricut cartridge 'Celebrations' and the phrase from 'Create a Critter'. A bit of twine and washi tape and all done!

Angry bird party
My 7 year-old wanted an Angry bird party - no surprises there.... I had such fun with doing the party! Fairly simple stuff really and by adding some stickers to make cupcake toppers (and piggy apples!), I think it looked very Angry birdish.

Angry bird invitations
Not surprisingly, my soon-to-be 7 year-old son wants an Angry Bird Party this year.
Unfortunately there are no Cricut cartridges with Angry birds on them!!!!!!!!, so I got out the Gypsy and made my own. This is probably my first real attempt at making something myself on the Gypsy.
The beak is diamond shaped and folded in half so it opens.
The party is on Friday. Looking forward to it!

Same same
Here are two layouts I've done recently, both using the same design template. I don't know about you, but I can't always come up with new designs every time... And if you like a layout then why not???

Happy 40th
Happy 40th to my dear friend Lesley! Great weekend away to celebrate the big occasion too.
And with all the washi tape I have bought recently, every project might just have to be 'washied'!

Happy Birthday Davy!
Happy birthday to my brother-in-law David!
I made him this record album type card (since he's in to music and vinyl). I made the vinyl sleeve using Cricut cartridge 'Tags, Bags & Boxes' and the actual record using 'Nifty Fifties'.

Happy Birthday Little Lady
A birthday card for a little lady! Ladybird cut using Cricut cartridge 'Paisley' (I think!) and phrase from using 'Birthday Bash'. Easy card to made and oh so cute.
I cut out two black ladybird shapes and lopped the head off one! Layered the red on top of the headless ladybird and added brads so the wings could swing and reveal the words.
Check out other critters on Fantabulous Cricut Challenge for their 'Cute as a Bug' challenge.

Robox
A simple layout I did on Friday night. Had a little bit of the Kaisercraft range left to do a Robot (or should I say, Robox) layout. And a bit of hardware (eyelets, brads, metal letters, sewing snaps, staples and an arrow), to finish it off.

Laser gun card
I made this laser gun for a 9 year-old boy who was having his party at Laser Strike - Happy Birthday Ashton!
I used Cricut cartridge 'Boys will be Boys' for the cut and lettering. I also used the good old Dymo labeller and silver sticky tape (which cuts well using the Cricut!).

Oh Baby
The baby cards I make are usually pink or blue, so I decided to use a different colour this time around!
I used Cricut cartridge 'Baby steps' to make this duckling safety pin card. Its hard to tell from the photo, but I embossed some transparency and attached it with twine for something a bit different.
Check out other baby cards on Fantabulous Cricut Challenge.
